Auckland Homes Solutions CIC (AHS), a lease-based provider of specialist supported housing, has become an Independent Registered Provider after a de-merger from the Social Housing Family.
AHS as a Registered Provider has been non-complaint for several years with the Regulator of Social Housing raising concerns on several areas. To assist AHS in improving, The RSH placed three Statutory Appointees onto the Board of AHS to provide support.
With AHS becoming independent and having made improvements in several areas, the Regulator has released the three Statutory Appointees at the end of their term of office and a new Board of Independent Members have been appointed, chaired by Bill Locke, who has been the Chair over the past twelve months whilst improvements were made.
A new Management Team has also been in place for the past twelve months, led by an Interim Chief Executive – Carl Rees Brazier, with a focus to build a foundation to move towards being compliant, improve the financial position and for AHS to become an Independent Registered Provider.
AHS acknowledges that continued improvement is required to become fully complaint and will continue to engage with the RSH during its improvement journey.
We are a national, not-for-profit, registered provider of social housing to vulnerable adults. We are regulated by Homes England, the regulator of Social Housing, to ensure that the services provided by Auckland Home Solutions C.I.C are compliant at all times, and surpass expected standards.
We focus on the individual tenant – their choices and their aspirations. We work closely with local authorities and care providers to provide vulnerable with an affordable home and care package, where they can live as independently as possible.
We believe that every vulnerable adult has the right to good quality housing. We will take the high standards of homes we currently provide and replicate that standard wherever we find client groups in need of supported housing, good property and high quality care providers.
We consider all tenants who are referred to us via official channels. If you’d like more information about the eligibility process, please get in touch.
